FlexCold today announced the unexpected passing of Vernon Rose, its president, on September 11.
Rose, was a prominent and respected cold storage executive, spending over 35 years of his career at many of the country’s largest food manufacturing and cold storage organizations.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and colleague, Vern Rose,” said Jeff Manno, co-founder. “Vern was an exceptional leader who knew the complicated world of cold storage. He was highly instrumental in helping FlexCold move from concept to our initial groundbreaking in Jacksonville. His innovative vision, supportive nature, and lively spirit will be greatly missed and have left an indelible imprint on the FlexCold team and our leadership.”
In memory of our colleague and friend, FlexCold will make a donation to The Fender Play Organization, an organization dedicated to one of Vern’s passions – music.
Vern is survived by his wife, Nina, their four children, and 17 grandchildren.
