FlexCold Named a 2024 Top 3PL & Cold Storage Provider for the Second Consecutive Year

Food Logistics recognizes leading third-party logistics and cold storage providers in the cold food and beverage industry.

Jacksonville, Florida, June 10, 2024 – – For the second straight year, FlexCold is proud to be named among the Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers by Food Logistics magazine.  Food Logistics, the only publication exclusively dedicated to covering the movement of product through the global cold food supply chain, named FlexCold as one of the winners of this year’s Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers Award, which recognizes leading 3PLs and cold storage providers in the cold food and beverage industry.

“We are thrilled to receive this recognition from Food Logistics magazine because it is a testament to our unique culture-led approach and the people who power it,” said Jim Mathenia, Director of Operational Sales. “I’m so proud of the leadership team and our strong focus on a high-trust environment which enables team growth, innovation, and constant improvement.”

“We all like to work for a winning team and this award is direct result of our team’s hard work,” says Hannah Barrette, Human Resources Manager at FlexCold. “We intentionally created a sports team-based culture to recognize, reward, and provide career growth opportunities for each team member. Not only has our approach and environment been well-received, but it has also been key to retaining our winning team and strengthening our business growth.”

With the average age of cold storage infrastructure being more than 40 years old, FlexCold’s modern design and programming create efficiencies and innovative ways to serve the cold storage market. To keep up with import, export, and ecommerce demand, the company is planning to open phase II in early fall which will double the current capacity to 55,000 pallet positions within 350,000 square feet.

“3PLs and cold storage providers remain a key puzzle piece to building and nurturing partnerships, cultivating resilience and helping companies in the cold food space overcome supply chain disruptions,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “Seventy-six percent of the winners plan to invest in software solutions this year. This is indicative of how forward-thinking these 3PLs and cold storage providers are, and how despite disruptions and other challenges, they continue to forge ahead.”
