FlexCold announced today that Tom Powers has been named director of market strategy, effective immediately.
Powers will play a key role in driving FlexCold’s growth through the development of market specific business cases by leveraging years of relevant industry experience and a fundamental understanding of key value drivers across markets, logistics, customers, and service offerings.

Powers joins FlexCold from Americold where he led development of business cases to support construction of cold storage facilities in his role as vice president, market development. Powers began his career within the food industry at AGCO Corporation’s Grain & Protein Division where he led global business strategy execution. Prior to AGCO, Powers worked at global real estate firm Newmark Knight Frank as a global location strategy & site selection consultant where he developed, led, and executed global operations strategies, global location/geographic strategies, and market analysis across a wide range of markets and industries. Powers began his career at General Electric where he held a series of operations leadership positions within GE’s Energy, Lighting, and Aerospace divisions.
Powers holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business.
